Alex- this is very insightful. Especially when you got to this part: "Without forgetting we cannot possibly change or build new relations. To negate forgetting is to negate death. To remove the possibility of rebirth, of rediscovery, of meaning to memory." I never thought of memory and forgetting as an organic part of beginning and ending--But it makes sense. A great observation.
